Men's soccer stuns nationally ranked Williams

On a day when nothing seemed to indicate that men's soccer would deliver one of the biggest wins in program history, the Lyons fought off a hostile road atmosphere and one of the best squads in college soccer to secure a prize that neither coach, Matt Cushing, nor anyone on his team, would soon forget.

Men's cross country looks to make an impression this year

Men's cross country is primed for big things this fall. Wheaton has finished fifth at the NEWMAC Conference Championships two years running now. They finished seventh at NEWMAC's in 2005. There are seven men's cross country teams in the NEWMAC. Needless to say, men's cross country has not exactly been synonymous with winning in recent years.

Historic stadium closes, an era in basball history ends

The home of arguably the greatest sports franchises of all time is no more; Yankee Stadium has officially been retired. The "House that Ruth built" hosted its first game on April 18, 1923 against the Boston Red Sox. In that game Babe Ruth himself hit the first homerun.
